HERITAGE TOURS
Port Angeles Underground Heritage TourPort Angeles is a city steeped in history as a logging center of the Olympic Peninsula. The whole downtown area was raised in the early 1900s and many older buildings were lost until the remains were recently discovered and are undergoing a remarkable renovation. This underground area provides an insight into the past living conditions and that includes the discovery of one of the brothels and a link to a darker side of Port Angeles.
Heritage tours run daily at 10:00am and 2:00pm every
day except Sunday, May through September.
From October through April the tours run daily at 10:30am and 2:00pm. To get

Ext. 0. The tours start from the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center 121 E. Railroad Avenue on the waterfront. Reservations are not necessary but appreciated. You can just arrive about 10 minutes before tour time. Tours run between two and two and a half hours. It is an easy stroll with a few stairways to climb. It is a Historic Walking tour of downtown area of Port Angeles with a visit to the "Underground" in a couple of places. The tours run all year round come rain or shine.
Adults: $12.00 Seniors & Students: $10.00 Children 6-12: $8.00 Children under six are free.
The Port Angeles Downtown Association invites you to visit the Downtown Merchants. Many of them will have historic displays in their shops.
